You're still here... tsk, tsk!
Well I've left Ian behind and gone onto Alexi Sayle. As you do...
I have 'Didn't you kill my brother' on a single. But this is a good'un too. 'I keep tropical fish... in me underpants...'

The Cash song was a Nine Inch Nails remake. JC does so much more for that song than Trent Reznor ever could for that song or any song.
I've neglected this thread. But after that Kansas video I went on a Kansas kick for a bit.
Then that kinda led me off on a Steve Morse/Dixie Dregs tangent afterward since I was never happy with his contributions to Kansas... Anna, you do realize you have a South African vampire in your last post, roight? Either that or a really bad landlord.
He played a sultan in the last (good) Indiana Jones movie.
And it's the time of year when I feel like watching TYO again. That's why Vyv is looking out from my avatar. Lately I've been playing a lot of Butterfly Effect. They're from Australia and just can't seem to get a hook in any heads over here. But they're really good. But it's been them, Fair To Midland and TV On The Radio stacked up for the most part the last few days. At the moment, it's the always awesome "Wolf Like Me". Sure wish they'd allow embedding on this video, but the distributors are jerks, so, click the link. Do it!

Don't mind me, I'm just finishing off a 'pot noodle'...
When I first saw your Vyv avvy I almost put up my Rick one but then I thought that might be a bit 'copycat', so I didn't.
Really really liked the TV on the Radio - 'Wolf like me' song. It's my cuppa tea! Must give some more of their music a whirl. What's with this not allowing embedding crap? Folks who want to find a way around it do. People still link to the songs. And all the asses are doing is potentially losing more publicity for their acts. Dorks!

Like it!
This is my fave Stranglers song. I have the single and play it from time to time. For some reason this doesn't seem to come through both speakers and I noticed a couple of other posters on this YouTube page complaining of the same thing. Ah well... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eu4Aj2JMwCI

I've just come back from a night out on the town, yay me! (hubby's work's mid-winter Christmas 'do' - it's a thing we 'down
unders' do since we don't get a white Christmas seeing as how our Christmas falls in Summer)... and we briefly talked about music. Anyhoo, I mentioned
that I noticed that over the last few years 'New Wave' is coming back and it reminded me of this song by a group I've no doubt no one's heard
of.
I have their album 'Happy Families' and the track comes from this. Enjoy.

I only lasted 3 minutes into that Blancmange song. It wasn't bad - just a bit monotonous.
Alexei Sayle - thats another matter - love the way he moves. Its my firms mid winter Xmas this Sat, but I'm going to be up in Auckland, so won't be attending. |

Ok... I almost didn't listen to this.
No offence, but I don't like c*nt-ree music. Just can't get into most of it. But I thought, hang on, be fair. If I expect (and I do... ) other folks to listen to my stuff I've got to be prepared to give other stuff outside my
comfort zone a whirl.
My thoughts are, it's a good song. But I don't like his voice. It has that nasal twangy country feel, and yet the song itself isn't what I'd call true country. If it were recorded by a non country artist, perhaps a 'soft' metal preformer/rock singer, rather than a balladeer, it could be a really good song. So I'll give it a 6 out of 10.

But I don't like his voice. It has that nasal twangy country feel, yea thats true..which is why i don't like country.. but i like the way he goes 'falling like the rain i am falling for you' and there's no breath he takes... like its all one word.... i listened to some other clint black. YUCK

I wasn't ignoring you!
Number 2 son had a 'teachers only' day yesterday, right at the beginning of the term, so I couldn't get on here as much as I'd like. I's catching up. P.O.S. - like it! Very muchly! *thumbs up* Mud - Yuck. I love the seventies but that was dreadful.
The Sweet - Love them! They sum up glam rock for me. Love, love, love them!
Off to search for something...
